She undertook numerous study trips to Southern and Western Europe, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria.
In 1920, she was a founding member of the Circle of Women Artists (Kruh výtvarných umělkyň) and was actively involved in promoting the international visibility of Czech art in the late 1920s.” Artists. Her correspondence documents, in particular, her crucial role in the exhibitions held in Amsterdam and The Hague in 1929. Despite personal crises and a temporary ban on exhibiting from 1948 to 1957, she thus made an important contribution to the artistic emancipation of women and to the cultural representation of the young Czechoslovakia.
