Provenance:
Marmorosch family;
Jakob Marmoroch, Kolomyja Kaisertum Austria 1823 – 1905 Vienna,
was a Romanian banker. In 1863 he founded the Banca Marmorosch, Blank.
Resident in Vienna from 1870. The Torah shield also dates from this time.
In 1905, the banker was buried in the Jewish section of the Central Cemetery.
